Global Presentation System Redesign

Enabling faster, on-brand content creation at scale through a user-centered design system

Overview

Led the redesign and rollout of a PowerPoint presentation system for one of FTI Consulting’s largest practices—transforming fragmented, time-intensive workflows into a scalable, user-friendly design solution.

Context

Following internal feedback, the practice invested in updating its pitch materials to improve quality and efficiency. Existing templates were inconsistent, time-consuming to use, and required significant manual design effort from non-designers.

The challenge was to:

• Modernize the design while working within established brand constraints

• Reduce time spent creating presentations

• Enable non-designers to produce high-quality, on-brand materials

• Scale the solution across a large, distributed user base

My Role

• Co-led the creative direction and execution of the redesigned presentation system

• Partnered with stakeholders to align on requirements and priorities

• Designed scalable tools, templates, and resources for end users

• Led global rollout and training across hundreds of employees

Approach

1. Design Within Constraints Maintained key brand elements (format, headers, typography, color palette) while evolving the visual system to feel cleaner, more modern, and more usable.

   
   

2. Build for Real User Needs Conducted internal polling to understand the most commonly used slide types, ensuring the system directly addressed day-to-day workflows.

   
   

3. Create a Scalable System Developed a modular library of over 200 pre-designed slides, enabling users to quickly assemble presentations without starting from scratch.

   
   

4. Enable Through Education Delivered training sessions and supporting materials to drive adoption and ensure consistent usage across teams.

Execution
